Complete online client consultation form.
After booking your appointment, you'll be asked to complete an online client consultation form. This form is invaluable to the therapist, providing a clear understanding of your concerns and any specific areas you'd like us to address. It also allows us to begin your treatment promptly, maximising your session time.
Arrive at your location
When you arrive at your location, you’ll be welcomed by your therapist and guided to the room.
Quick chat about any issues
Here we will briefly discuss your consultation form where you can elaborate if you wish. If necessary, we shall perform a few exercises to test range of movement.
Agree on the plan
Before the massage begins, your therapist will explain which areas they'll focus on and whether they'll work on the front of your body, the back, or both.
Move into the massage table
Now that you know the plan, it's time to prepare for your session. The therapist will step outside briefly while you undress and make your way to the table. A large towel will be available for you to cover yourself. Once you're ready, the therapist will reenter the room. → See 👕 What should I wear below for more details.
Once the session is over
Once the session is over, the therapist will inform you so you can slowly begin to readjust. They'll step outside, allowing you to redress in privacy. When you're ready, please take a seat for a brief final chat to conclude the session. ❗️Important to note that you might feel light headed when getting up from the table. Please do so slowly and use support if necessary.
Aftercare
The therapist will detail any aftercare recommendations before you leave. → See 🫡 Aftercare below for more details .

Drink lots of water.
During massage, the release of metabolic wastes products and acids occurs and instead of letting them get re-absorbed into the tissues and muscles, it’s good to get rid of them. Drinking water helps to cleanse and detoxify your body.
Avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours.
A deep tissue or sports massage creates changes in your body and soft tissue. Muscles get stretched and become longer, and joints become de-compressed. The body needs time to adjust so jumping straight back into a 10k or weight lifting isn’t advisable.
Have a bath or go to the sauna.
You might feel sore after a deep tissue or sports massage. This is normal. Sore muscles love heat. It gives them a sense of ease and they relax. The best way to alleviate some of this soreness is to have a hot bath, or step into a sauna.
Avoid alcohol and caffine.
During and after a massage, your body works hard to eliminate toxins. It's advisable to avoid introducing more into your system for 24 hours.
Undress to your comfort level
You'll be asked to undress to your comfort level. During the entire session, you'll be covered with a towel on the massage table. The therapist will leave the room while you undress and only return when you're ready for the massage to begin.
Loose-fitting clothing
If you choose to wear shorts, please ensure they are loose-fitting.
Underwear
Some people prefer to keep their underwear on during the massage, while others are more comfortable without it. The choice is entirely up to you.
Wear a bra?
If you wear a bra, please ensure it can be easily undone or removed to allow the therapist full access to your back. A sports bra isn’t usually appropriate unless you want to remove it.
Towelling
Please note that you may be asked to turn over if we agree to work on muscles on the front of your body. Your therapist is trained in proper draping techniques to ensure your dignity is maintained throughout the session.
Wrong.
It's crucial that muscles are relaxed during massage, as this is when the most effective work occurs. If you experience excessive pain, your muscles will tense up and become resistant to treatment, resulting in an ineffective session.
Pressure and pain are entirely within your control. If you enjoy an intense massage, we can accommodate that! However, it's essential to master the art of keeping your muscles relaxed during this style of massage.
Prefer a light touch? Sure thing. Just let me know in your consultation form.
